                      Complete ModemTM Plus
                       Using Bitcomr v6.02

provide help with this document.  The user of said information
does so at his or her own risk.

To use Bitcom v6.02 with the Complete Modem Plus you'll need to
do the following:

Execute Bitcom by either typing Bitcom in the C:\PFAX\BITCOM
directory, or by choosing F3 on the PPLUS menu.

You will be presented with a Bitcom Communication Selection Menu.
We will use this menu to configure Bitcom.

Press Alt G to enter into the Bitcom configuration screen.  You
will be presented with a Modem Controls Menu.  The following
parameters should be entered to use a Complete Modem Plus

V42/MNP Dial Prefix             AT+H1E1V1X2&C1&D2DT
V42 Answer Prefix               AT+H1S0=1$0D
Dial Prefix                     AT+H0E1V1X2&C1&D2DT
Dial Suffix                     $0D
Answer String                   AT+H0S0=1$0D
Hangup String                   \150+++\250ATH0$0D
Busy String                     BUSY
Connect String                  CONNECT
Disconn String                  NO CARRIER

Make sure the COM port selection matches the setting on the
Complete Modem Plus hardware.

To setup to V42 for the Complete Modem Plus press Alt V, make
sure the software is set to the following:

Protocal Type                   V42 Autoreliable
MNP 5 Compression               Enabled
V42bis Compression              Both
Break Type                      Disabled

Autoreliable Fallback           Disabled
Autoreliable Fallback Character 13
Inactivity Time (sec)           0

After entering these settings press Alt Q to exit the V42
Settings screen and press Alt Q again to exit the configure menu.
The software will prompt you to save the changes, press y to save
the changes.  Press Alt Q to exit Bitcom.
