CPC091892 The Complete Communicator Information on Postscript Printing This document is provided as "For your information" and as is. Neither The Complete PC nor any of it's employees assume any responsibility for consequences resulting from the use of the following information nor can the Complete PC technical support provide help with this document. The user of said information does so at his or her own risk. This document discusses a "workaround" to re-introduce a postscript printer driver into the Complete Communicator software. Note: That the reason that the Postscript drivers were removed from later versions of our programs was because they were found to be EXTREMELY unreliable. Therefore, the installation of this "fix" does not necessarily guarentee postscript compatability. The Complete PC Technical Support Center is providing this as a service to our customers and makes no guarentee that it will work satisfactorally in any specific system. Moveover, this is an unsupported fix, no technical support assistance is available in the event it does not work. The actual postscript files discussed in this document are found on The Complete PC's Technical Support BBS at 408-434-9703 under the filename of PSCRIPT.EXE. Download this file and type PSCRIPT in the C:\CC subdirectory (Please make a backup copy of you PRINTERS.CFX file before extracting the PSCRIPT file). Once the files have been extracted, please follow the instructions below to install your printer. Run INSTALLC Select Modify Existing Parameters Select Printer Configuration, You will see a different list than the last time the Installation program was run. It should now include some Postscript printers such as the Apple LaserWriter. Select your Postscript printer (if your printer is not listed try using one of the other Postscript drivers such as the Apple LaserWriter). Hit F10 twice to complete the installation. Re-boot the PC.
