The user of said information does so at his or her own risk. The following is a listing of the DOS level commands that the Communicator software will interpert. CCOM Displays the Complete Communicator main menu if CCBACK is loaded (See below) CCBACK Loads CCOM'c background code into memory. This is necessary for CCOM to answer the phone or to be able to inter the software. CCOM_OFF Unloads the CCOM background code, freeing up memory. Use CCBACK to reload the background code before trying to use CCOM again. CONVERT (FILENAME) [/P] [/M] [/H] [/T] [/G] [/S] [/F] Converts the specified file to fax format. the entire file name (including extension) must be specified. You can specify the file type (if it is not a text file) by using: /P for PC Paintbrush (.PCX) /M for Microsoft Windows 2.0 Paint (.MSP) /H for Dr. Halo II (.CUT) /T for TIFF Class B Uncompressed (.TIF) /G for Epson FX Graphics files You can specify the converted file resolution by using: /S Standard resolution during file conversion /F Fine resolution during file conversion CFAXVIEW (FILENAME) Displays the fax file you specify. If you specify the Filename without extension then it will display the whole fax. To view a certain page of a fax then specify that particular extension. i. e . FILENAME.004 for viewing page four of fax "FILENAME". CCOMSEND (FILENAME) (PHONENUMBER) [/D] [/S] [/F] [/H] [/M] [/P] [/X] [/G] [/T] Sends the specified fax file or voice message to the specified recipient phone number immediately. If the fax file you specify is not already in fax format, it is converted before it is sent. The entire file name (including extension) must be specified. For voice messages you MUST use an extension of .VOC or .MSG. If you do not specify a phone number, CCOM sends the fax to the person with whow you're on the phone at that time. The /D parameter indicates that you are communicating with another CCOM of CFAX 9624 and that this is a DOS file transfer. You can specify the file type (if it is not a text file) by using: /P for PC Paintbrush (.PCX) /M for Microsoft Windows 2.0 Paint (.MSP) /H for Dr. Halo II (.CUT) /T for TIFF Class B Uncompressed (.TIF) /G for Epson FX Graphics files You can specify the converted file resolution by using: /S Standard resolution during file conversion /F Fine resolution during file conversion You can designate the date the fax is sent by using MM/DD format. 03/25 You can designate the time the fax or voice message is sent by using the HH:MM format, indicating A.M. with an A and P.M. with a P. 4:02P FAXPRINT (FILENAME) Prints the fax file you specify using CCOM's background print facility. To print a certain page of a fax then specify that particular extension. i. e . FILENAME.004 for printing page four of fax "FILENAME". CVRTMODE [/T] [/G] Most applications that print EPSON FX formatted text use a printer graphics mode for underlining. Normally, CCOM modifies this underline command automatically to improve the appearance of the underlined text. If you are converting a file that is totally EPSON FX graphics (such as a chart or graph), you need to indicate whether CCOM should modify the underline commands by using: /T to have CCOM modify graphics (coverting text files) /G to have CCOM NOT modify graphics (converting graphics files) CCOMSCAN [/P] [/L] [/T] [/R] [/C] [/I?] [/W?#] [/S?#] [/D?#] [/V] FILENAME Displays the scanner software main menu for the scanner type you have installed (available only if you installed a scanner in INSTALLC) so you can scan and send a fax immediately. The /P option will tell CCOM to display any parameter errors that occur. You can specify the converted file resolution by replacing the ? for the /I? option using: /LS for standard resolution in file conversion /LF for fine resolution in file conversion The /T? option indicates the scanner type you are using by replacing the ? for the /T? option using: /TH for an HP ScanJet /TD for a DEST scanner /TC for a Cannon scanner /TM for a Microtek scanner /TP for a Complete Full Page scanner The /R? option indicates whether you want the scanner reset before scanning by replacing the ? for the /R? option using: /RY will reset the scanner /RN will not reset the scanner The /C option will invert the scanned data The /I? option lets you specify the image intensity by replacing the ? for /I? option using: /IL for low intensity /IN for normal intensity /IH for high intensity The /W?# option lets you specify the size of the image to be scanned in inches (up to 1000th of an inch), by replacing the ? using: /WX the X coordinate defines how far down the page to begin scanning /WY the Y coordinate defines the beginning left margin /WW the W defines the width of the area to be scanned /WH the H defines the height of the area to be scanned You indicate the size in inches by replacing the # with the size of the image area in inches as shown in the example below: CCOMSCAN /LS /RY /IN /WX0 /WY0 /WW8.640 /WH1 1.000 /DB FILENAME You indicate the type of data being scanned by replacing the ? OR the # for the /D?# using: /DB black/white images (by default) /DN# where n=the number associated with the scanner you are using and the dither patterns it supports: Number Dither Pattern Supporting Scanners 1 4x4 Fatting HP, DEST, Cannon 2 8x8 Fatting HP, DEST 3 4x8 Fatting DEST 4 8x4 fatting None 5 4x4 Bayer HP, DEST, Cannon 6 8x8 Bayer HP, DEST 7 4x4 Vertical Line HP, DEST 8 8x8 Vertical Line DEST 9 4x4 Horizontal Line DEST 10 8x8 Horizontal Line DEST 15 User Defined DEST 16 User Defined DEST The /V option lets you view the scanned image before it is faxed. RINGBUSY [/B] [/N] Allows you to select whether an incoming call placed while you are in CAM foreground mode will hear a busy signal or just hear the phone ring with no answer by using: /B callers hear a busy signal /N callers hear a ring with no answer HKEYMODE [/A] [/M] Allows you to indicate whether the CCOM pop-up window capability used from within other applications should be accessed automatically by CCOM or manually by you by using: /A CCOM automatically invokes pop-up window /M you will need to manually activate the pop-up window The computer needs to be re-booted after using this command for it to take effect. Note: Users of DOS 4.0 or higher, the automatic mode will not work.
