CPC091692 220.DOC The Complete Communicator "Unable to Locate CONFIGCC.CAM file" This document is provided as "For your information" and as is. Neither The Complete PC nor any of it's employees assume any responsibility for consequences resulting from the use of the following information nor can the Complete PC technical support provide help with this document. The user of said information does so at his or her own risk. If you press F2, The Complete Answering Machine from the main CCOM menu and get the error, "Unable to Locate CONFIGCC.CAM", it is always related to C:\CC\CAM; not being found on your current path statement. C:\CC;C:\CC\CAM; should have been added to the path statement found in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. However, if it was added at the end of a long path statement or you have another path statement being loaded after the one found in your AUTOEXEC.BAT, you won't be able to access CAM from the main CCOM menu. You will be able to access CAM from the command line, by changing directories to C:\CC\CAM, then typing in CAM and then Enter. To fix the problem, exit to Dos. At any DOS prompt, type in the word SET then Enter. The current path will echo back to the screen. C:\CC\CAM must be on this path. Modify the path to include C:\CC\CAM, or modify it so that C:\CC\CAM is closer to the front of the path. The path shown from the SET may not match the path you find in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. You might be overwriting the path from the AUTOEXEC.BAT with a path statement being set from a Menu program or a batch file that you run after the AUTOEXEC.BAT.
